What is the PTO and who can be a Member?

PTO stands for Parent Teacher Organization. Our organization consists of parents and teachers working together to support and enrich all Fort Sam Houston Elementary students. We support school staff and assist in efforts to solve school needs through volunteering and fundraising.

If you are a parent, guardian, and/or a person who teaches or instructs at FSH Elementary, we would like for you to become a member! Cougar Cub PTO Family & Staff Memberships will be accepted throughout the 2023-2024 school year, and it's only $15 per family, per year!

PTO Programs & Fundraising

Our primary objective is to provide our school with funds, programs, resources, and services that will enrich and maximize the education of every child and to benefit the school. To meet this important objective, we fundraise. Here are a few programs that we sponsor and/or support: Spirit Wear, Scholastic Book Fair, Fall Festival, Boosterthon Fun Run, Teacher/ Student Appreciation events, and various other fundraisers throughout the year.
